The ALA is the brainchild of Afrox Namibia, the leading supplier of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), industrial- and medical gases as well as welding consumables and equipment in the country. Afrox Namibia has a long and proud history of service delivery in Namibia dating back 83 years and currently employs over 100 Namibians across the country. A successfully run Namibian company since 1935, Afrox Namibia forms part of the Linde Group in Germany.
The ALA was born from Afrox Namibia’s goal to make a meaningful contribution to the Namibian society by developing a CSR initiative focusing on poverty eradication and skills development.
According to Mr Eckhardt Vorster, the Managing Director of Afrox Namibia, “We, at Afrox, are passionate about making a meaningful contribution to the wellbeing of not only our employees and their benefactors but also the communities in which we operate. We desire to play our part in the realisation of our national development goals, and we believe this initiative will act as a catalyst to address poverty eradication and skills development at a grass roots level.”
